WordPress 3.0 Compatible Themes
WordPress 3.0 launched on June of 2010. WordPress 3.0 is a developer focused release that provides, amongst other things, new functions and functionality for WordPress theme developers to tap into. As in any software update that provides this type of functionality, the challenge that a WordPress theme developer will face is all of the code and functionality they wrote to compensate for the lack of this newly found functionality. This presents a dilemma for the end blogger: “Do you upgrade to WordPress 3.0 and will your theme work correctly?”.
First of all, the WordPress development team has done an incredible job of ensuring release compatibility. Thus, the likelihood of you facing compatibility problems is in your favor.
