Matt Lawrence
Matt Lawrence is a blogger and WordPress designer that joined Orangecast in early 2009 after graduating from The University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in Economics. He and Derick had met several years earlier on a mens recreational ice hockey team they both play for. Always impressed by his work ethic and attitude, Derick knew he wanted to find a home for Matt on the Orangecast team. After a few months of contract work, Matt had officially become a dual Photoshop and WordPress junkie and began to push the envelope on theme designs and general search engine optimization.
During the Summer of 2009, Matt took over responsibilities of DallasSportsFans.Com and has driven a 300% increase in traffic and has monetized the site. He also implemented a new design and layout on the site that ended up “inspiring” Jerod to give a much needed makeover to MidwestSportsFans.Com. Having completely disrupted the office by introducing Derick, Hannah, and Jerod to MartyB TV and the addictive melody of “I Luv CapN Crunch”, Matt continues to search YouTube on a weekly basis for the next video that will drive the office nuts.
